Over six years ago, our United Way of Greater Kingsport Board of Directors set a new direction for our organization. This direction entails continuing to improve lives by addressing health and human services needs effectively through our 29 member agencies and corresponding 44 programs. It also involves creating long-term, lasting change in community conditions by addressing the root causes of pressing social problems. In essence, all of our efforts center on realizing our vision: A Better Life For All.
We understand realizing our vision will only be possible if we continue to ask ourselves, “Could it be better?” With the support of incredible volunteers who support our efforts through their generous donations, volunteerism, and advocacy, we are making it better. Making it better means that everyone in our community has an opportunity for a quality education, financial stability, and good health. Our entire community benefits from productive individuals and stable families.
Greater Kingsport is a great place to live, work, and raise a family. We encourage you to help us make it better by donating to this year’s campaign. Your participation, no matter how large or small, will help us drive and inspire community change. Be like Jack – Give it forward. Get it back.
Live United!
Danelle Glasscock
Executive Director
As the 2015 Campaign Chairperson for the United Way of Greater Kingsport, I lead a team of dedicated volunteers and staff members toward achieving our goal of raising $4 million. The dollars we raise stay here in our community to improve the lives of our families, friends, and neighbors.
I am honored to work alongside the many community champions dedicated to assisting individuals and families as they strive to live happy, productive lives. These champions work daily to drive and inspire community change in the areas of education, income, and health. Our campaign theme (A Better Life For All. A Better Life For You.) underscores the value of giving it forward and getting it back. We encourage you to ask yourself: “Could it be better?” Jack believes it can, and I hope you do too.
When you give to United Way, our children perform better in school, our neighborhoods are safer, and our communities are healthier. No matter how large or small your contribution, you will help us make it better!
Live United!
